CDE Results – 2011 Citrus Evaluation CDE

HAINES CITY, Fla. – Florida FFA is pleased to announce the results of the Citrus Evaluation (CDE).  The event was held November 17, 2011 at the Florida FFA Leadership Training Center in Haines City, Florida. 25 high school teams and 24 middle school teams from throughout Florida gathered to compete for the top spot. The purpose of the Citrus Evaluation CDE is to stimulate learning activities in the production and management of citrus fruit.

Florida FFA is very appreciative of the support of our event coordinators Dr. Steve Futch with the UF/IFAS Citrus Research and Education Center, Dan Culbert with UF/IFAS Extension in Okeechobee County, and David Byrd with Polk County Schools.

As a matter of procedure, event results are considered unofficial for (2) business days following publishing. It is the responsibility of the FFA Advisor to request and review individual team results. Any appeal must be made to the FFA Executive Secretary in writing for necessary adjustments to be made.  At the close of business on the second business day following publishing, results will be official.

CDE Results – 2011 Environmental Science CDE

LIVE OAK, Fla. – Florida FFA is pleased to announce the results of the Environmental Science and Natural Resources Career Development Event (CDE).  The event was held November 8th at the UF/IFAS North Florida Research and Education Center in Live Oak, Florida. Eleven (11) teams from throughout Florida gathered to compete for the top spot. Florida FFA is very appreciative of the support of our event coordinator Carolyn Saft and UF/IFAS for hosting this event.

The purpose of the Environmental Science and Natural Resources Career Development Event (CDE) is to stimulate student interest and to promote environmental and natural resource instruction in the agricultural education curriculum and to provide recognition for those who have demonstrated skills and competencies as a result of environmental and natural resource instruction.

National Chapter & Proficiency Award Results

Congratulations to each of Florida’s chapters and members who participated in the National Chapter and Proficiency Award Programs at the National level.  The award judging process is complete and the complete results are attached to this email.  A special congratulations to the following for their selection as national finalists and/or winners in their respective areas:
