CDE Results – 2011-12 Dairy CDE Preliminaries

GAINESVILLE, FL – Florida FFA is pleased to announce the results of the 2011-12 Preliminary State Dairy Career Development Event (CDE).  The top twenty (20) high school teams and the top ten (10) middle school teams will advance to the state finals, which will be held at the Florida State Fair in February.  The purpose of the Dairy CDE is to stimulate student interest and learning activities related to the production and management of Dairy Cattle and related products. Florida FFA is very appreciative of the support of the event coordinator Mr. Chris Holcomb.

As a matter of procedure, event results are considered unofficial for (2) business days following publishing. It is the responsibility of the FFA Advisor to request and review individual team results. Any appeal must be made to the FFA Executive Secretary in writing for necessary adjustments to be made.  At the close of business on the second business day following publishing, results will be official.

CDE Results – 2011 Food Science CDE

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida FFA is pleased to announce the results of the 2011 Food Science & Technology Career Development Event (CDE).  The event was held December 3, 2011 at the University of Florida. 26 high school teams and 14 middle school teams from throughout Florida gathered to compete for the top spot. The purpose of the Food Science CDE is to stimulate learning activities in food science and technology related to the food industry and to assist students in developing a good working knowledge of sound principles used in a team decision-making process. Florida FFA is very appreciative of the support of our event coordinator(s), Dr. Keith Schneider, Dr. Renée Goodrich Schneider and Dr. Andrew Thoron, as well as, the many Food Science and Agriculture Education student volunteers that assisted with this event.

CDE Results – 2011 Tool Identification CDE

HAINES CITY, Fla. – Florida FFA is pleased to announce the results of the Tool Identification Career Development Event (CDE).  The event was held November 16, 2011 at the Florida FFA Leadership Training Center in Haines City, Florida. 46 teams from throughout Florida gathered to compete for the top spot. The purpose of the Tool Identification CDE is to develop the ability to correctly identify the names and uses of a variety of tools common to the Agricultural Education Curriculum.

CDE Results – 2011 Citrus Evaluation CDE

HAINES CITY, Fla. – Florida FFA is pleased to announce the results of the Citrus Evaluation (CDE).  The event was held November 17, 2011 at the Florida FFA Leadership Training Center in Haines City, Florida. 25 high school teams and 24 middle school teams from throughout Florida gathered to compete for the top spot. The purpose of the Citrus Evaluation CDE is to stimulate learning activities in the production and management of citrus fruit.

Florida FFA is very appreciative of the support of our event coordinators Dr. Steve Futch with the UF/IFAS Citrus Research and Education Center, Dan Culbert with UF/IFAS Extension in Okeechobee County, and David Byrd with Polk County Schools.
