Florida FFA is excited to announce the 2013 Chapter Officer Leadership Training (COLT) conference!  This conference is the second phase of our leadership continuum.  The COLT conference is designed to meet the needs of your chapter officers (or those that wish to become officers) and provide them with the tools that are necessary for a successful year of service.  Much like Area Leadership School in past years, these six single day conferences will be hosted throughout the state for your convenience.

Realizing that this is the most affordable leadership opportunity of the year, we are working to provide your students the best conference experience ever.  There is no limit on the number of students that you can bring!  We encourage you to bring as many students as you wish for a full day of leadership development for only $25.00 per person!

Note:  Florida FFA reserves the right to cancel any conference if minimum registration numbers are not achieved.

This conference builds upon the information that was presented to your officers during the Chapter Presidents’ Conference (CPC).  During this conference, your chapter representatives will complete learning modules designed to bring the FFA Mission to life.  In addition, your officers will have an opportunity to review the duties and responsibilities of being an FFA Officer.  Realizing that you may have officers that cannot attend, it will be the duty of the COLT participants to take their knowledge back to their fellow team mates and other chapter members.

The cost for the conference is $25 per attendee.  The registration fee will include conference materials, Learnbooks, lunch and a special gift.  Please make your payment payable to Florida FFA Association and present your payment at the time of registration.  The registration deadline for this conference is September 20th.  Registration is very easy and requires no paperwork!  To register, visit the Florida FFA website and complete the electronic conference application.  You can register by clicking here or by visiting www.floridaffa.org.  Fees are non-refundable unless cancellations are made 48 hours in advance of check-in.  All payments are due at time of check in.  If payment is not received at check-in, a credit card will be necessary to secure conference attendance.

Please remember that the advisor attendance policy is in effect and all students must be accompanied by a designated school district representative.  In the event that the designated representative is not the FFA advisor, please submit a letter of designation from the school principal or superintendent.  If your designated school district representative is another FFA advisor from your county, it is imperative that all parties are aware before arriving at the conference.
